My name is Dr. Zac Keenum.  I am an ophthalmology resident and soon to be ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. My goal in life is to change people's lives for the better. I seek to do this for my patients by providing exceptional medical care and careful attention to their needs. For my cataract patients I aim to provide them with the best refractive outcome that is tailored for their needs and lifestyle. For my plastics patients that means helping them to look as young as they feel and also to treat complex medical diseases of the eye socket and periocular tissues.

I also provide an insight into my life and career through my YouTube channel: Doctor Eyeball MD, where I bring viewers along for the ride of a real-life behind the scenes look at the life of an ophthalmic surgeon. I seek to educate medical students and trainees by helping them navigate the road to becoming the kind of doctor that they not only want to become but should become.

Most of all I am looking to have fun doing what I love and to show the world that it is possible to love what you do and make a real difference in the world. I hope you'll join me on the ride!
